Domain Registration

GrassRootsDesign provides domain registration.

GrassRootsDesign registers domains for $15 per year. Canadian domains (.CA) are registered with the Canadian Internet Registration Association (CIRA) for $20 per year. A wide range of security certificates are available. Domain and certificate registration are processed upon receipt of payment. Payment can be made by cheque, money order or Paypal.

Domain names and certificates are registered in the owners name (registrant) and remain the property of the registrant. If you currently own a domain and want to transfer it to GrassRootsDesign's registration service the transfer amount extends your current registration period.

Before registering a domain you will need to check that it is available. You can check the availability with the Tucows WHOIS service or contact GrassRootsDesign to find out if your domain name is available.

As the domain is your property, you must provide your name, optional company name, address (including city, province, county and postal code), a phone number, an optional fax number and an email addresss. Canadian domains require a domain type as well (individual, corporation, etc). The email address must be an active address as all communication about the domain is sent to that address. It is extremely important to keep your email address valid. Contact GrassRootsDesign or modify your address well in advance of any email address change.

If you current have a hosting service you must also provide the dns setting for your hosting service (contact your hosting service to obtain them). If you plan to obtain or transfer to a host package with GrassRootsDesign and require more that a basic package please indicate the requirements you need. GrassRootsDesign provides registration through an OpenSRC reseller program. Requesting a domain registration indicates that you have read and agreed to the ICANN Registrants Rights and Responsibilities Document. Refunds cannot be provide once a domain is registered.

Requesting a hosting package with GrassRootsDesign indicates that you have read and agreed to the terms and conditions.
